Ep 10: Remote Work Culture

Five years in, the companies that stayed remote explain what they had to build to make it work.
No longer an experiment
Remote work stopped being an experiment a while ago. What is left is the difference between companies that treat it as an office with the building removed and companies that redesigned how they work.
What our guests built
Our guests run teams across eleven time zones. Their common answers: write everything down, make decisions in documents rather than meetings, and fly people to the same room at least twice a year.
What they lost
The candid part is about what they lost. Speed on some decisions, the accidental conversations, and the junior hires who learned by overhearing. None of them would go back, and none of them pretend it was free.
